In 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP candidate from the Pilibhit Lok Sabha constituency, Maneka Gandhi, had secured a massive lead of 87507 votes over his nearest SP rival Budhsen Verma in the Barkhera assembly segment which forms part of the aforementioned parliamentary constituency.
